LABOONE family history page.

Maternal lineage of John Henry Holcomb
~~father of Shari Diane Holcomb~~

The early data given herein was secured by Mr. Warrington Dawson of Charleston, S. C. who was an attache of the U.S. Embassy in Versailles, France as late as 1933. He was employed by two of the La Boon generations to look up some LaBoon Family data and it is therefore authentic.
Mr. Dawson went to Rochefort, France and there found in an old cemetary the tomb of Pierre Jean LeBon(1) with the inscription "born June 16, 1722 and Died August 15, 1778". he was married to Mademoiselle Marie Capet who was born February 3, 1718 in France. She moved to S. Carolina after the Revolutionary War, and died in 1802; They had 4 children:
- Pierre(2)
